How to Set Up Tive QR Access

Contents

Tive QR Access puts on-demand ASL interpreting at your front desk. A customer or employee scans a code and connects to a certified interpreter — no appointment, no booking.

This guide is for organizations setting it up. If you’re a customer who scanned a code and it didn’t work, contact support.

    Step 1 — Open a business account

Go to Tive Small Business Sign Up.

    • Click Sign Up and choose Business Account
    • Enter your company details — business name, work email, contact information
    • Verify your email using the confirmation link we send you

Once verified, your business account is ready.

Step 2 — Open your dashboard

Sign in with your organization email at tiveapp.com/dashboard.

    Step 3 — Add a location

Go to Locations and click the + icon.

    • Enter a name for the location
    • Enter the address
    • A map of the building appears
Add a location — enter a name and address.

    Step 4 — Set the geo-fence

The geo-fence controls where people are allowed to connect. Someone outside the circle can’t use the code.

    • Drag the blue circle to cover the area where people should be able to reach an interpreter
    • Tick “Allow users in this location to access Tive interpreters”
    • Click Create (or Update) to save
Drag the blue circle to set the geo-fence, then Create or Update.

Step 5 — Download your QR code

Select the location you just created. Your QR code appears — click Download QR Code.

Step 6 — Put it where people need it

Add the QR code to a flyer with your own branding, then post it in high-traffic areas: reception, entrances, customer service desks, checkout — anywhere Deaf customers or employees are most likely to need support.

    Suggested wording for the flyer:

Need an ASL interpreter now? Scan to connect with an ASL interpreter now. No appointment needed.

Questions about billing or multiple locations
