Tive 1.4.93 is now available on iOS and Android. This release makes VRS registration faster and refines the parts of the app you use most. To get it, update Tive from the App Store or Google Play.

Highlights

Register for VRS by scanning your ID

You can now scan your ID or driver’s license to fill in your VRS application automatically, instead of typing every field by hand. The registration flow is also clearer end to end — easier-to-follow Cancel and Skip buttons, automatic date formatting, and reorganized sign-up fields.

Use Tive in landscape

The full Tive experience now works in landscape orientation, not just portrait. Hold your phone or tablet whichever way is most comfortable.

A VRS-first Home screen

Home is now built around the dialpad so you can start a call right away. Phone numbers format as you type, and you can tap your displayed number to copy it.

Other improvements

Easier VRI access — the “Get a video interpreter in person” button on the dialpad is easier to spot and tap.
Simpler onboarding — one fewer screen when you first join, with a cleaner field layout.
Contacts and History — improved search, favorites, formatting, and call-history organization.
Call settings that stick — your camera, microphone, and speaker preferences carry into your next call.
Smoother return for existing users — logging out and back in no longer restarts VRS registration. The pencil icon opens your existing application for editing instead of starting over.
Notifications and call screens — refined incoming-call behavior and a cleaner in-call experience.
Stability and performance — visual fixes and performance improvements across iOS and Android.
